Avalon Intensive (Long Term)

Program Description

This course is designed for students who want the maximum. You can study 5 hours per day and this will include: 3 hours per day of Avalon Method. This course is 80% Speaking. You speak to the teacher and he corrects you. 2 hours per day of your own choice. There are 2 options. OPTION 1 1 hour per day in the multi-media study centre. You can use videos, speaking software, TOEIC/TOEFL/Cambridge preparation CDs, Business, or Grammar packages. (Or choose from our selection of textbooks, novels, and magazines.) PLUS A specialist 1-hour course. You can choose Business, Media, Job skills, Tourism, British Culture or a combination. OPTION 2 A specialist 2-hour exam course. You can do Cambridge First Certificate (or Advanced), or IELTS. Most students do these courses after they reach Advanced Level. There is also a weekly 2 hour tutorial to monitor your progress. The exact programme of study depends on your level and your preference. People have different goals when they study English, and so when you arrive you will have an interview with a Course Director. Together, you will make a plan for your time at Avalon. The Director will speak to you again after a few months to discuss your progress. If you need to change your plan, this will be arranged.
