Program Description

The ILI method is intensive and includes instruction in speaking, listening comprehension, reading, and writing. There are 12 class levels, from the beginner to the university/professional level. Each level requires 4 weeks to complete. An intensive 4-week TOEFL preparation class (computer-adaptive) is also offered.

ILI has two centers: the Van Ness Center, located in a residential area of Washington, DC, and the Davis & Elkins College Center, located at Davis & Elkins College.

application information:

New classes begin every 4 weeks, though a student may enter the program at any time. A placement test allows us to place the student at the appropriate point in the course. Students must mail or fax a completed application with a $50 application fee. Students wishing to participate in the homestay program must mail or fax a student profile with a $150 placement fee. Student may apply to ILI on-line through our web site, www.transemantics.com. Students requesting an I-20 form must submit a financial bank statement, indicating that sufficient funds are available to study in the U.S.
