Program Description

The English Language Institute offers 23 to 25 hours of instruction per week at all levels of proficiency in writing and grammar, reading comprehension and vocabulary acquisition, listening strategies, and oral communication skills. The ELI is a well-respected program of Missouri State University, the second largest public university in the state. Our mission, providing English language learners with skills for academic and career success, is the focus of our program, as most of our students enter university degree programs when they complete the ELI. We also offer customized short-term programs and summer youth camps.
