Program Description

The Institute of American Language and Culture (IALC), located at the Lincoln Center campus of Fordham University, offers classes in English as a Second Language from beginning to university preparatory levels. Core courses in Writing, Grammar & Reading and Speaking, Listening, & Vocabulary are offered at all skill levels. At the advanced levels, content courses are also offered. Content courses contain academic subject matter and prepare students for university study. Examples of content courses include American Government and Politics, Modern Short Fiction, and American Culture in Film.

tuition: Summer Session I: May 23, 2005 - July 1, 2005 $600 per course/ $1800 for a full-time intensive program. Summer Session II: July 11, 2005 - August 19, 2005 $600 per course/ $1800 for a full-time intensive program. Fall Semester 2005: September 12, 2005 - December 16, 2005: $1,300 per course/ $3900 for a full-time intensive program.
