Program Description

Classes are offered at 12 levels, from beginning to the most advanced. After Level 9, elective courses are offered, such as American Business Culture, Advanced Conversation, Advanced Reading, Grammar and Writing, TOEFL TestPrep (Test of English as a Foreign Language - required by U.S. colleges and universities), and GRE/GMAT TestPrep courses (Graduate Record Examinations /Graduate Management Aptitude Test). inlingua® Washington, DC is also an official TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) test center. It is administered monthly, and is also open to those not enrolled at inlingua®. Classes are held all year round, except for national holidays. METHOD & AMBIANCE: Students are exposed to the language at all times, which ensures that they will begin to think in English. The program includes speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills development. Classes take place in a friendly and professional environment and are conducted by qualified native-speaking English teachers. To ensure personal attention to the students needs, classes are kept small.

available housing options:

Requests for Homestay must be made at least four weeks in advance. After the one-time non-refundable Finders fee is paid, inlingua® will look for a family. The minimum stay is one month, unless the student notifies inlingua® of a shorter initial period when requesting this service. There is no refund if the student wants to leave the family during the required initial period. The homestay must always be fully paid in advance upon arrival. Homestay includes, but is not limited to, a private furnished bedroom, breakfast and dinner seven days a week, plus lunch on weekends. If the student decides to continue living with that family after the first month, the family must always must be paid in advance at the beginning of the new term. If for any reason the student must leave the family after the new term starts, both inlingua® and the family must be informed at least two weeks in advance to get a refund for the remaining days that you will not be living there. The Finders fee is fully refundable only if inlingua® fails to provide a family within three weeks of the request.

Complete the Application Form, make payment according to the program you want to attend, and take the placement test as soon as possible. Payment can be made by cash, U.S. checks, traveler checks, wire transfer, and Visa or MasterCard. All new students must pay in full, upon enrollment, the registration fee and tuition for the first session. In addition, those students requesting a Change of Status must pay the Change of Status processing fee at the time of their request. In general, students can choose to take any of the programs that inlingua® offers; however, for those students with Student Visas (F-1), the Morning Program is mandatory. F-1 students will be given the choice among the Morning Program, the Afternoon Program and the Intensive Evening Program only if their levels are being offered in the three programs at the time. A credit refund can be issued for the difference in tuition.
