Program Description

UW-Superior provides English as a Second Language (SESLI) for international students who need to practice speaking and writing English to pursue international careers or to attend universities in the United States. Students spend approximately 20 hours each week in class. Courses are a combination of the following: Speaking/Pronunciation, Listening/Note Taking, Grammar, American Culture, Reading, WRiting, Conversation Practice and arranged language assistance. Sessions: Summer, Session I or II, Semester.

UW-Superior is located in Superior, Wisconsin at the western tip of Lake Superior. Our mild climate and four seasons offer year-round activities such as boating, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, and hiking. Superior and neighboring Duluth, Minnesota offer many cultural attractions such as a symphony orchestra, ballet, historical and art museums and four universities and colleges. The twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota are only three hours away by car.
